Travel to Europe (fur die Amerikanern)
Travel to Europe can be done relatively easily out of US major cities. As Berlin- despite being the capital- is not a major air hub in Germany/ Europe, it may be easier to fly to another nearby destination (London, Paris, Amsterdam, ect) and from there switch to a low budget carrier (see the links below).
Travel inside Europe and Germany:
Believe it or not, the vast systems of trains in Europe is not the cheapest way to travel, although you do get some very good scenery. Often the train is more expensive than air-travel and can take significantly longer. However, the train is more environmentally friendly. The train can be cheap if booked far in advance.
* there is a train that goes between Karstadt (Stavenow) and Berlin central station every 2 hours starting at 6am. Travel from the wedding venue to Tiegel Airport will take about 2.5 hours and to Schoenafeld Airport about 3 hours.
